MOBILIZATIONS RELEASE IN DIFFERENT STATES AGAINST THE CFE

As part of the National Day of Mobilization against the CFE, were reported today, protest actions in different parts of the country. It is important to note that people and organizations in the City, San Luis Potosi, Chiapas, Oaxaca and Puebla decided to suspend the planned activities to be carried out today by health emergency we are facing. So far no serious incidents have been reported.
In Coaztacoalcos, Veracruz, about 500 members of the Regional Council of Social Organizations South of Veracruz from 8 municipalities, held a march and made an encampment in the premises of the Commission Federal de Electricidad rising demand fair rates and expressing solidarity with the struggle of the peoples of Guerrero, Oaxaca and Jalisco facing dam construction. This event joined the Civil Resistance against the CFE dozens of rural communities in Minatitlan.
On the Isthmus of Tehuantepec has been made this morning, marches and outlets CFE offices in the towns of Salina Cruz Oaxaca, Matías Romero, Ixtepec, Sarabia and Juchitán Station. The main demands have been against high tariffs and poor service provided by the CFE and the protesters have spoken out against the Mega Eolico the Isthmus. In Juchitan some 100 members of UCIZONI, Xhadani community and the Assembly of Peoples of the Isthmus in Defense of Earth took the premises of the CFE, as happened in Salina Cruz, where a committee of the City and Civic United Colonies Coordinator access to facilities of the CFE. Have also been developed protest actions in Huajuapan de Leon and the city of Oaxaca.
In Candelaria, Campeche, about 1500 members of the Civil Resistance Movement against the high rates moved this morning demanding halt to the repression of the leaders of this movement, as well as the solution to their demand to reduce electric rates.
In Chiapas, the march scheduled to take place in San Cristobal de las Casas was suspended by the outbreak of swine influenza, but the National Network of Civil Resistance "The Voice of Our Heart" issued a release which was distributed in Chiapas through informational leafleting Amatenango del Valle, San Cristobal de Las Casas, Tonala and Pijijiapan. Also issued a complaint from members of the Red Valley State Amatenango by massive power cuts and threats against the population.
In Guerrero, members of Ejidos Council and Communities Opposed to the Parota Dam made a public ceremony in Acapulco, while Tlapa, indigenous communities in the Mountain announced protests for excessive charges in electricity consumption. In Chihuahua are planned protest actions until this time but we have no reports of them.
This Day Mobilization was convened by national networks, people and organizations in different parts of Mexico are coping with the abuses of the Federal Power Commission, consisting of high fares, poor service, taking land for the construction of dams and projects farms.
As part of this mobilization has announced that next May in the city of San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas, shall constitute the National Network of Civil Resistance against electricity tariffs. Sincerely
