Safe Mode in Office

This method is useful when a document we have been blocked by any program of the Office suite because it wanted to run some kind of complement or run on a bug. Once you solve the problem, do not know how to get running time to load that file. Here the solution. First let's see what is the failsafe mode
Quote Microsoft Office
The failsafe mode of Microsoft Office allows you to safely use any Office program or in the Office family find some problems at the beginning . When the problem is detected at startup, Office solves the problem or isolates it, allowing you to start the program successfully.

Safe Mode automated

At startup, Office checks for problems, such as the existence of an addition or extension that do not start, or resources, files, records or damaged templates. So the next time you start the program displays a message identifying the problem and asks if you want to disable the program element that causes it.

can access a list of disabled items through the Disabled Items dialog box (Help menu, About Microsoft element). You can use this dialog box to enable the elements of the list. Maybe to enable some elements have to re-download or install an add or have to re-open a file. Enabling an item does not always fix the problem, so, you may re-enable the item to appear in the list of disabled items the next time you start the program.

Safe Mode user initiated

program to open any Office or Office family in Safe mode, press the CTRL key while you start the program or use the / safe to start the program from the command line.

When you open a program in Safe Mode in Office initiated by the user, apply the following restrictions. (Some of the items listed below do not apply to all programs of Office or Office family.)

  • can not save a template.
  • In Microsoft FrontPage, the last Web site does not open.
  • The Office Assistant is not displayed automatically.
  • customizations toolbars and command bar not loaded and can not be saved.
  • The AutoCorrect list is not loaded and changes are not saved.
  • Recovered documents are not automatically opened.
  • smart tokens are not loaded and the new cards can not be saved.
  • All options command line are ignored except "/ a" and "/ n".
  • can not save files in the Alternate Startup Directory.
  • preferences can not be saved.
  • programs and additional functions are not loaded automatically.
  • documents with restricted permission can not be created or opened.

The question is now, so this whole story? When any Office program fails to start and close, are not going to load that element unless re-enabled.

Well get to menu> help>>> About
Program Name The following window appears, in the example of Microsoft Word
The last button is the disabled items, we click there and get:

And from there we enable the documents you want.
